Resident Evil Biohazard: First Stream

I played Resident Evil Biohazard for the first time and it's horrifying! There were some spooky camera glitches on my end, which I'm noticing is something that has been happening when I stream creepy games....

As far as the learning curve goes, you very much have to investigate and explore to figure out what you're supposed to do, which might be intimidating if you aren't a seasoned gamer (speaking as an unseasoned little baby deer gamer myself). I don't know if I would have figured everything out if I didn't have help in the chat while I was streaming.

If you're looking for some good jumps scares though, this is 10000% going to deliver. As someone who is a bit of a jaded horror movie fan, I'm finding that horror games hit different and way harder as a medium.

Special thanks to BA Gaming Rigs for making this stream possible. I'm loving my computer and their customer service is excellent so be sure to check them out if you're looking for a gaming computer!

In case you missed it, you can read the recap below or watch the stream on YouTube.

Add me on Steam, send a tip, and find all things streaming here.

In this first stream we:

  • were sent a video from our missing (presumed dead) wife telling us to stay away from a creepy mansion - we don't listen!

  • got first person games give us flashbacks to Halo: Combat Evolved

  • noticed that the webcam is glitching again which is starting to become a pattern with horror games

  • think we saw a creepy man, and had to crawl through some ... animal carcass art

  • enter the creepy house and are quickly paralyzed by fear and notice that the kitchen is full of maggot-ridden carcasses. 2/5 would not book an air bnb here

  • pondered the competence/wellbeing of a man who comes to a creepy murder house completely unarmed, wtf is wrong with you Ethan

  • watched VHS and had a jump-scare sever enough to get us cursing

  • find yet more people have entered this house unarmed, and wonder if they deserve what they get

  • see that Andre goes missing and for some reason, he's important enough that we can't leave without him? Ugh

  • found Andre... don't want to talk about it. Let's move on.

  • all agree that Ethan is not very bright

  • ran into Andre again... still don't want to talk about it.

  • FOUND MIA, she's not very happy about it, she warns us that we're in danger

  • spot a creepy doll... and a creepier grandma...

  • ... lost Mia but found some first aid, which fills is not super comforting

  • get attacked by Mia and quite justifiably, and she has the sense to be armed in this house unlike SOMEONE

  • fight with Mia but not in the sexy way couples fight, so we have no choice but to end couple's therapy with an axe to Mia's neck. On the plus-side, we're finally armed!

  • freaked out when Mia popped up and proceeded to literally disarm our dude Ethan with a chainsaw

  • got confused when not having a hand doesn't make Ethan bleed out and figure that he must clot pretty easy

  • finally found an actual gun- thank god we still have a hand to shoot it with!

  • suffered our first death at the hands (chainsaw) of Mia... Ethan and Mia are going through a rough patch

  • had to abruptly end the stream because there was an earthquake irl - everyone is ok though!

This was beyond fun. Totally bummed about the Earthquake ending it early, though! I did go on Steam shortly after and purchase this game... because I'm a masochist, apparently.
