Hey everyone it’s Monday January 30th and these are my favorite things this week! The link for Happy Hour (this Thursday at 3:30 pst) is below the video and transcript.
The musical adaptation of The Outsiders, yes THAT The Outsiders, is making its world premiere at my local theater The La Jolla Playhouse and when I heard there’s going to be mud, tons of recycled water, and a big actual car, I immediately got tickets. I’ll let you know if it’s golden, ponyboy.
I haven’t had a library card since I was a teenager but I finally got one because I’m trying to do something besides work and everything in San Diego requires you to take out a small loan so I’ve started reading again because it’s free. I’ve been meaning to start Persepolis for years and I’m so glad I finally did. It’s funny, heart wrenching, and I highly recommend it.
I’m also watching these mushrooms created by abi.toads on repeat because it’s the only thing soothing my anxious soul during these continued unprecedented times.
